Prof. Donald Brown wins prestigious UNESCO award

Congratulations to Prof. Don Brown for winning <(en.unesco.org/events/award-ceremony-2019-unesco-avicenna-prize-ethics-science> UNESCO’s prestigious Avicenna Prize<en.unesco.org/events/award-ceremony-2019-unesco-avicenna-prize-ethics-science> for outstanding achievements in the field of ethics in science. Prof. Brown is recognized for his excellence in climate change ethics. The award consists of a medal and $50,000 cash prize.
For four decades Brown has worked to enhance public understanding of and get traction for the ethical obligations of governments, organizations, and individuals to respond to climate change while increasing public understanding of the ethical problems with arguments made by opponents of climate change policies.
